Since I’m about to graduate with my final degree, I thought it was about time I dig out and frame my original college letter of recommendation from Sir Frank Whittle (inventor of the jet engine). ☺️
Sir Frank was a sweet little old man who changed history. I can still hear him coming down the corridor with his cane for his daily walk to get his mail and stopping to say “Hello Daryl” in that unmistakable British accent.
Sir Frank passed away 29 years ago this Friday. It was an honor to have known him and his angelic wife Hazel.
